NATURE AND COUNTRYSIDE WALKS

Our rich local countryside is a patchwork of fields hedgerows and small woods well served by footpaths and quiet country lanes. Two National Parks are within one hours travelling, containing some of Britain's most spectacular scenery.  There are endless places we can take you to for a walk. Below are just two examples.

RIBBLE VALLEY

At Foxhill we look out over the Ribble Valley with its gently undulating fields, wooded valleys and winding country lanes leading to picturesque villages.

FOREST OF BOWLAND

The Forest of Bowland A.O.N.B. (Area of outstanding natural beauty). This is one of hidden gems of our country. Wooded valleys and heather clad hills. The Forest of Bowland is stuning throught the year. For bird enthusiasts this is a strong hold of the majestic Hen Harrier.

Gisburn forest is a place you cannot miss, with an extensive network of footpaths and cycle ways, and with fantastic views.

INGLETON  WATERFALL WALK

The Yorkshire Dales at its best with spectacular waterfalls plunging through twisting wooded glens resplendent with wildflowers this walk is a delight for all the senses. If you are interested in geology, wildlife, or photography this is a must.

MALHAM COVE AND GORDALE SCAR

Malham Cove is a huge, dried up waterfall. The Cove forms an impressive natural limestone amphitheatre. From the top are long distance views across the Yorkshire dales and up the Ribble Valley where you will be at Foxhill.  A short walk away is Goredale Scar, a massive collapsed cave and Janets foss waterfall.
